since it's my confusion, I want to play. Yes we towed our Avon rover 2.5 with both a 2.2 and 5 horse o/bs attached (one at a time...) and never had a problem once we started using the bridle. Prior to that, like Shard, I had a dinghy flip while moored in a gale. The current boat has davits so no tow now. Apologies for barging in and going tangential.
