Apologies from IKEA

Post by Silkie »

Contrary to my previous posts it now appears (although still not definite) that the February event will only be 15% off and that the 25% discount will be in May or June.

Take your pick.

It's a popular myth..

..that Ikea furniture frequently comes without all the bits.

We know this because when it does happen it affects thousands of articles and is quickly flagged up.

When one customer returns and says that he is without the vital doodad we smile sweetly and give him or her the part in question even although it's a pound to a penny they threw it out with the packaging or otherwise lost or destroyed it.

The secrecy surrounding the firm meant it was impossible to substantiate claims made last month that Kamprad's wealth has exceeded Bill Gates', making him the richest person in the world, with a reported personal fortune of £32bn. Kamprad isn't saying: he refuses requests for interviews, and now lives as a semi-recluse, with his second wife Mar garetha, in Lausanne, Switzerland, again, apparently, for tax purposes. By coincidence, I'm driving an 18 tonne truck to Lausanne at the end of the month.

Give me his address, and I'll put in a good word for you Sillkie ( though I won't mention all the ten minutes spent on forums - cos once "the ten minutes are gone, you can't get them back"
