Hosting the Clydesiders
At the recent second annual Scuttlebutt Christmas Beerathon in the Bon Accord it was proposed that there should be a Summer meet on the water. This quickly developed into two meets with the Clyde inviting the West for one and vice versa. So..
Who would be able to provide a berth for some disadvantaged inner-city boys and when? I suppose earlier is better. At the moment the only weekends not possible for me are the CC weekend (yes/no/maybe?) and the 24/25th May when I'm hoping to do the East-coasters Ostend trip.

That looks to be round about Spring Bank.
I'm planning to be up there with my new mates in the "Trail sail association" about then. They have "done" the Clyde at spring bank but sometimes gone adventurous and launched at Oban ish. If we colide say Hi. On my 18 footer it would be optimistic to say the least to offer a berth to anyone other than a verticaly challenged dwarf, once my crew is aboard that is.
How do I do a link? this is the url http://www.trail-sail.org.uk/

So that's us up to between 5 and 8 berths so far.
Enough of a quorum given the numbers (I thought 9 Clydesiders at the BA and unlikely that all will make it on any given weekend) to be able to start discussing possible dates. I put my thoughts in the opening post. Any other ideas?

Dates
For May I've a problem with the w/e 17/18 since I have to go to Torquay on 18 (Union conference), then the last w/e (31/1) I'm off to sunny Morocco
The first 2 w/es are OK at the moment...

Possibly......
My soup-dragon's not sure I should be let out with you lot due to the mess I was in after the Bon Accord incident. On a more positive note, if I do the persuasive bit, there will be room for two up front and possibly another in the back if she stays at home.

Left hand know what right's doing?
It may not be polite to post "the other place" on here, but this time I hope I will be forgiven, as I think it's important.
