So close but not close enough mm5aho!

Hint: we would see more human influences but the artist has either chosen to ignore those or they are not visible in the frame because the light is from dead ahead glistening into the painters eye, likely late afternoon.

On more hint: The location that the painting was painted from is just along from a busy round about that most people turn right at.

It’s the view from the beach West of the roundabout at Oban, looking down the Sound of Kerrera, southwards.

More RYA fig navigation for you lot! Perhaps, alternatively, I should go back to posting in TOP.

This is a hard one, possibly only known to locals who frequent waters south of Crinan and north of the entrance to Loch Sween.

Hmmm...

South of Crinan and north of the entrance to Loch Sween?

That’ll be He-haw on the east side and Eff-all on the west side then

Its a hard one for sure!
There's really not much along the coast there, only exception perhaps Carsaig. But I don't recognise anything in the painting from there.

Wee short building looks like the Kilberry Inn.

Not the Kilberry Inn Burst Boiler.

To be honest this is not really a sailing 'where is it' as they could be anywhere and it just turns into a guessing game. The crofts with their riggs are beside Tayvalach, but I don't know where exactly. I only know because the artist stated that the scene was Tayvalach. The artist is Daniel Campbell: -
