There is a forumite who I would like to help but my offers seem to get lost in the ether. He has problems with a gearbox - I have such a gearbox, no longer useful to me, he's welcome to it but that's where it ended. I have 2 rubber-ducked ST2000+s - he has one with a problem - I offered him a diagnostic process to identify which bit he needs - no response other than a query on TOP. The gearbox has no value to me and is acting as a door-stop; the ST2000+s will eventually go on eBay with a full description of their faults for some eejit to buy.
What more should I do?

I know - with you being a discrete and sensitive sort of forumite - you won't be keen on this advice but I really do feel its time to name and shame....

My sympathy lies with the poor soul - forced to endure the ravages of the voracious culicoides impunctatus 'cos his local hostelry won't let him inside and about to be descended on by bus loads of Covid infested fellow countrymen (his not mine) keen to spend money at the bottom of his island. It would be unfair to add to his woes.

Gearbox - currently investigating the possibility of an oil change and new morse control as possible solutions. If after these it is still an issue then I will get back to you and your kibnd offer.

Electric stick - may be a voltage problem, new batteries on order. Also an extension, as it is too short.Again, if the electric stick is still wonky then I will get back to you. I am most appreciative, but intent on making sure I am not misinterpreting the problems.

The culprit has outed himself. Can't be his conscience - I wonder if he is unwell?
