Very interesting article on this web site about rope-chain splices. I have a Lewmar anchor windlass that requires a rope chain splice. Using the method where the splice goes back through the rope, I have problems with the anchor line getting hockles after about 1 week to 1 month of use.
I would like to try the method described in the article, but first I want to know if it will work in a Lewmar windlass. Any comments?
