Is it the snow?

When I look at the "Board Index" page, any sections with unread posts show a red circular icon at the left hand edge. All read show in blue.

Recently, the "Shooting the breeze" section has been showing red regardless of read or unread bits. All the others seem to be working as expected.

Is it just me or are others struggling with this catastrophic failure?

Not something I've ever used or looked-at before but if I go into an individual forum and 'Mark topics read' then the topic items turn blue but the board icon remains red when I go back up a level.
If I click on 'Mark forums read' at the uppermost level then all of the circular board/forum icons turn blue.

I don't have full snow mode enabled though,just a bit of gentle snow in the frame border..

It's fixed! I wasn't noticing some new posts in a thread.
