WINDY WEATHER WARNING 50kts Oban Area Marinas

The weather forecast on the Met page, using Arduain Gardens weather forecast point as the nearest to Craobh Marina, shows 40 to 50 kt gusts from the SE veering to SW over Monday / Tuesday night, over the whole area.

If your in the area check your boats whether in or out of the water. I am not but have specifically asked the marina to check my lines, I am sure they will. I am more worried about the lines cutting through my new teak cap rail. I have split plastic drain pipes over the gunwale but they can move out from under the warp.

SE is a shitty direction for my mooring... But all was checked yesterday so fingers crossed.

Hope I'm not tempting fate but the swing in direction implies ( to me) that the wind won't reach the speeds forecast..

Met Office is prediction +50 gusts from 19:00 to 04:00 and much lower mean wind speeds nows. Hope all stays OK at your end, I've changed jobs and been allover the place, up at the boat next weekend, I hope. I'll let you know and if you are around and would like a cup of tea and biscuit call by.

Boatie seems to have survived... I'm off to Denmark for a week from Saturday so we'll catch up at some point no doubt..
