No suggestions? Should I try YBW or S&CS? ;)

I'll stick my neck out: Loch Tamnavay on Harris? I've only been once but it was a memorable visit as the throttle cable snapped as we anchored. Simple enough to finish the anchoring but rather remote for acquiring a replacement.

Nope. But definitely in Scotland. ;)

Really nice anchorage, totally enclosed and sheltered from all directions. Any ideas, anyone?

Good guess Donald, but both yourself and Derek are somewhat west of this marvellous anchorage. ;)

HINT: It's on the mainland.

I've only been in once but I'm pretty sure it's not Loch a Choire - the land is much higher all around.

More sheltered than Loch a Choire, and much easier to anchor in reasonable depths.

HINT: it's rather more to the north....

Incidentally Tom Marshall of "Shard" has some nice pics of Loch a Choire at http://thomarshall.co.uk/2225sept/handl.php

Norman got it - Loch a Chadh-fi off Loch Laxford.

A superb anchorage.
