Disgusted, Tunbridge Wells
Was out for a wee sail on Wednesday, a gentle beat over to Blairmore, drop hook for lunch then a spinnaker run back to JWD - except the wind vanished over lunch and we motored back. The Royal Marines were out and about in their patrol boat burning lots of fuel and I was composing my letter of complaint about their wash when they throttled back, went past, then opened up again. They did the same when they came back. Further up river the pilot launch set off from Princes Pier digging a hole in the water and they too throttled back when passing yachts. What is the world coming to?
