The strangest thing

Had quite an eventful weekend with one thing and another but this was certainly remarkable for a Saturday in June.

Admitedly it wasn't as late as it looks and a few boats did come in later including the 43' charter who tried to anchor in the same spot as Silkie but that's another story.

There's always one isn't there.

Have to take the best patch in the anchorage. No one else can get a decent spot to anchor.

The boats in first should really get up to the top end and fill in down each side so that the boats coming later have plenty of room in the middle

I admit I do take up a lot of room and there were easily another half-dozen boats in so I had some sympathy with his plight. He clearly had an inkling that not all was well (perhaps my facial expression?) since he asked if I was happy with his position. We could probably have reached out of our respective cockpits and shaken hands at the time.

I think that happened to me at some point in a dim and distant Chents cruise but its all gone in a blur of whirring windlasses
