I'm playing out on Seminole based in Tarbert.

If you call mending stuff and going to TV to tart Chiron up to make her half way saleable playing out. It would be nice to get some sails up for a bit of RnR at some point though.
Seminole.
Cheers Bob.

Well, some of us are not retired, yet, unlike certain owners of three boats*. We have to go back to work in a nice stuffy office :violin:

As we are now both retired were away sailing other people's boats, currently Indonesia while Aja frets at Kames for a few weeks more.

I was out on Able2Sail today, and we poked our nose round the Cloch corner from Kip to see the upper Clyde full of boats.
There some speedboat business on, somewhere near Port Glasgow, and for some reason there wre a multitude of yachts watching. I can't see the attraction of watching noisy smelly zing zingz racing round in circles. We could see the exhaust haze from 4 miles away.

There was no wind (zephyrs from the NE) until we'd decided to RTB, then it picked up nicely, from the S.
Oh well, a little more sun burn.

Hope there's some wind by 1 July; back to Oban then.
Geoff.

Well, I was one of those boats. Did I enjoy it? It was something I reckoned I would only ever see once and it required very little effort. The starts were interesting and close to the spectator boats but after that boredom. Did try to divine what were the discriminators that made one faster than another given they all had the same hull and engine but, apart from the slowest yin with a rooster tail from (I assume) a badly trimmed leg, I have no idea. Do it again? Very unlikely.

Had a lovely few days - faffed around on Thursday then blasted down the Sound of Jura on Friday and around to Tayvallich.
Couldn't find anywhere to anchor because of all the blasted local moorings which seem to have taken on epidemic proportions. we picked one up but didn't go ashore
Saturday - Motored on glassy seas to Craighouse then motored back to Ardfern, again in windless conditions.
Galley of Lorne had a function so no grub available so we drove around to Craobh where we had F+C - lovely. Had a wee snecklifter with Davey then back.
Drove home sunday - Loch lomondside road was shut so came the old way from Arrochar past Faslane - fekking motorhomes everywhere and not one driver with a fekking idea of how wide they are or any notion to pull over and let people past.
Regards
