I think the lower picture is the Crinan Canal only because I have a vague memory of such an archway when driving by. Thinking more it could have been last years holiday and somewhere on Upper Loch Fyne and the Duke of Argyle hydro scheme.

Top picture don't know.

the wee stone arch is something to do with a hydro scheme on one of the lochs (Ness?) along the Caledonian Canal.
The other is the Beatrice Platform in the Moray Firth, approaching is fog, which got worse, down to a boat-length visibility, and deciding us to decide to not go any closer.
There's dragons in that area, so visibility is required to fight them off.
