Shard

Post by Telo »

As of today, "Shard" is now under new ownership.

I am sure the new owners will get as much enjoyment with her as we did. We were never as adventurous as one of the original owners, Ted Gains, who sailed her to Israel and back, but "Shard" took us all over The West and the Clyde, down to IoM, and several visits to Ireland (including one very pleasant and memorable circumnavigation).

We did not set out to buy a boat fifteen years ago, and intended to continue chartering until we had retired. "Shard", however, bought us on a casual visit to Largs just to see what the market was like; we just liked her clean lines and good solid feel. So we took the plunge.

If you see "Shard", give her wave.

True, but she's had a new engine and gearbox since then. ;)
