Wot news of the galvanising project?

Quite a challenge to maintain correct identification through all processes without going to the extent of measuring each length. So far so good.

Thanks and keep up the good work - absolutely no hurry as far as I'm concerned.
I should be able to identify mine as I'd guess it's the only one that is 3/8" at one end and 10mm at the other..

Update: Monday am. (I'm not sure of anyone's sensitivity to identification here, so using firstname.initial, here as I don't have all this with pseudonyms from this forum)

Completed:
Bill L: small delta anchor done (but not the chain)
Dave S: 8mm chain with swivel and shackle on end, (but not the large delta anchor)
Dougie M: 90m chain
John A: Large Delta (but not the chain.)
Steve N: 60m mixed size chain

Not yet done:
Nick B: 25m x 8mm chain
Roger D: 8mm chain with Kong type swivel one end.
Ash S: 6mm chain, 8mm chain, 2x Bruce anchor
Geoff C: 8mm chain, 35lb CQR
Phil B: 50m x 8mm chain
Pilgrim: 10mm chain
Alistair P: 25lb CQR
Iain P:8mm chain, 25lb CQR with shackle
John A: 50m x 10mm chain
Dave S: large Delta
Bill L: 10mm chain.

Priorities:
I have the following understanding.
Iain B want to know so that can collect when in the area.
Bill L going away and has given me a last date (should be no problem)

Intention:
As mentioned we got really busy, but I'm still aiming for completion I next 2 weeks. I'll update here as I can.

I wondered about that, and guessed that you'd maybe wire on a metal label with a unique number stamped on it?

Excellent stuff!

One small point, my 40m 8mm chain definitely didn't have a swivel on it. There may have been a shackle, but I don't think so. I also had a short piece (7 links?) of 10mm chain.

From what you say then, I can re-identify. Yours originally was in two blue Ikea Bags, nicely labelled by you (thanks) Correct?

Hi Geoff, Thanks for the update. Unless someone else followed my cunning strategy of splitting the length between two blue Ikea bags so that I could lift it in two sections, that's my chain (Phil B). No swivels or shackles on it, but a C-link joint about a third along the length. I'm in no rush until around mid March.

Geoff - that first picture with the swivels and yellow paint remnants looks to be mine - about 45m of 8mm. Your guy who took it was going to label it straight away but plainly didn't. Chris Oliver

Its there. I was in a bit of a rush getting that list out to a request. I'm not there tomorrow, but will add your anchor and chain status on Wed.
From vague memory (at home) was yours the CQR with a hole in the shank?

My sympathies, Geoff, but you must have known it was going to be a herding cats type of job. No-one needs their chain/anchor before March - if they did they could shout - so let the system take its course. I seem to remember when I was working in the days before everything was outsourced that the boss's homers took an awful lot longer than anyone else's - always due to "pressure of work".
