Cannot reply to PMs

Post by Telo »

Similar problem as reported about a year ago by BoB. Replies seem to get stuck in an Outbox. Managed to free one earlier today, but latest one stuck there. Mind you, it's only a reply to Claymore....

Looks like it's been sorted and Claymore will have his PM. Was that you Nick? Or did it sort itself?

As for the remaining four messages in the Outbox, they're a bit time-expired:

It's just the way the system works here Donald. Messages remain in your Outbox until read by the recipient when they become Sent messages.

That makes sense, but I think seven and a half years is a bit much even for a busy site like this. Mind you is was TCM.....

Donald,
Can you advise of a good surveyor in Plymouth? We have fallen in love with 2 boats there. Can't really afford either so if the surveyor can knock a few quid off for no good reason, that would be better.

Nope. We never actually got so far as that, and it would appear that my mail about it never left my outbox as Sarabande didn't pick it up..... The boat we were interested in was an Endurance. We went to Plymouth, liked it, told the owner that we liked it and wanted to engage a surveyor. Then it all went cold; the owner said that the survey could be undertaken at the end of the season liftout. Bit odd, as we'd have had to pay for the survey liftout/relaunch anyway. Never heard from the owner again. The boat is still being advertised. Very nice boat, BTW.
