Nice find - thanks for posting
The graphics look similar to the Meteo Earth app but your link opens really fast for me. As you say, the problem we are going to have is finding a decent 3g signal. Have just bought a payg sim card from Three as apparently they have a mast on one of the mountains in southern Mull which covers that area. There was a plan mooted by one of the political parties to force the network operators to share their masts in rural areas - this would be a real vote winner (imo).
Also like the surface pressure colour overlay.

Like the scale of w/s for the isobar spacing on the top left. Usually on synoptic charts you have to guess a bit ie close = windy, wide = calm !
