Ardfern favour (big !)

Post by Storyline »

Next season I want to replace the house batteries on Storyline but as usual when it comes to things like this I have not got the exact dimensions of the battery compartment and also cannot remember the layout of the +ve & - ve terminals. Have found a new (to me) battery which is 135ah and only just a bit bigger than the standard 110ah ones we have now. Think we are OK for length but the height is tight.

Some of you have boats at Ardfern I think so I was wondering if anyone could spend ten or fifteen minutes taking a photo and a few measurements sometime between now and March next year please :). Do not really want to ask Ardfern as they supply batteries and it is a bit cheeky to ask them to measure up and then for me to get my own.

Do not know when we are coming out of the water so will have to check as it would be much easier when we are on the hard and not on the mooring. Also will have to let Ardfern know what is happening so they can give any volunteer the keys.

Reward: a bottle of something from the village stores and lots of gratitude :)

Hope this might be possible for someone - any offers ?
