zipped or buttoned up when it contains your telephone as it is likely to fall into the tray of antifoul, yes the deep end, when you bend over to reload the roller. At least it now won't go mouldy :|

Builder's wipes got rid most of it, however the speaker was inaudible and the charging socket gummed up. No 3 thinners on the end of a tiny brush wiped off with cotton buds did the trick. :)

When I did that while tying off the aft mooring warp, it fell out, one bounce on the aft deck & splosh into 6' of water. I never even found it again, even after the tide went out. :(

Not a good idea to have it in you back pocket either, especially when boarding the dinghy in light surf & you overbalance. It never worked again. I now have a Sony Xperia Z which is waterproof (allegedly) but I do not wish to test it.

I have seen more phones in oil wells than drill bits. Despite the ban numpties always bring them onto the drill floor, lean over to look into the hole (there is never anything to see (which they know)), and plop, phone gone. Not only do they lose their phone but they may be run off the job if I have had a bad Skype call home.

We have just banned mobys and 2 way radios from our Lab.
There is a slim chance that they will set off the detonators when we get them out of the safe though,
I don't want that.
I'm careful to put my antistatic footware on when handling them too.

It's not static we are worried about from the phones, its stray radiation.
Seminole.
Cheers Bob.
