So, I've been a wee bit preoccupied what with SIPR and No2 daughter's wedding last weekend. What I failed to notice was the Ashton Regatta @ RGYC this Saturday (31st May, i.e. ramorra). This world class event may have 2 or 3 (if I turn up) entries and may or may not be white sail, depending on what the consensus is. Forecast is sun and light winds and the start is at 13.00.
My usual suspects have made a range of feeble excuses such as being forced to garden/sailing own boat/sister-in-law visiting/being in Turkey/being in Pitlochry/etc. thus I am, yet again, without crew. So if you fancy a gentle donner round the cans followed by a barbeque and music, you are most welcome. About 12.00 at the RGYC, bring your own sannies. Probably best if you give me a ring on O795442579O just in case I am overwhelmed by numbers (aye, right!). Don't all rush at once!

Re: Yet another opporchancity!
Today would have been a nice day for novice crews.
Fairlie Y C had their Largs to Port Bannatyne race / muster today too.
KCC had a BBQ at CWSC.

A Snotty frae Cardwell Bay which sailed very well. We wus a crew of 3 with yin whose experience was somewhat low and the wind wasn't strong enough to counter my lack of concentration and the less than slick sail handling. But what a lovely day! Lathered in sun-cream, head burned through thinning hair, shorts and t-shirt all day with a pretty fair and constant breeze - chust sublime. I managed to come ashore grinning from ear to ear. Pity about today.
