Danish pronunciation

I think there is at least one person who might be able to settle this one. Buck, Byook, Book? What should we call our red danish engine?

According to an old forum post on Sailboatowners.com, the company say it's pronounced Boo-k; like Book with long o's, although no doubt a Danish speaker will be along soon to contradict me!

My dear Claymore, thankyou. That is what I have been saying for years. We have a prospective third partner in the boat who insists on 'buk' as in a male deer. It could be a deal breaker.

Para sometimes thinks of himself as a Buck. He also sounds like he's rutting most mornings.

I think you must be thinking of Volvo.

Bukh is pronounced "durable and dependable"
