OK, so you were right!
The main had to be slabbed soon after you passed -- should have cottoned on as you weren't the only reefed boat coming up from Ardrossan area...
Great sail though, both ways : to Largs on sat, and Troon on Sun.
For our confused readers, I got shouted at by a passing yottie. Something about a reef. Young whippersnapper must be out of his mind, we'd not long switched off the donk after a failed slow goosewing from Largs.
Then it happened. The lady captain wasn't amused.
Shearwater, shearwater, shearwater.

Im sure you well know its a completely different ocean south of the Cumbraes. I had a cracking sail up and down. Picked up a mooring in millport bay stopped and had lunch in the sunshine. Apologies if you shouted Shearwater on 16. I was stuck on 12 after listning to the tower at Ardrossan.

One of those I hear seems to have truncated words. Might be his radio?
"Drossn Harb, drossn harb, caldn iles."
