.
As some of you are aware, I am in the process of trying to refurbish and republish the main BlueMoment site. However, it is a huge task, and I am not sure I have the time or energy to complete it within a reasonable timeframe.
(The start of the new site can be seen at http://www.bluemoment.com/newsite )
I was wondering if anyone would be interested in taking on one or more of the remaining sections and redoing those pages in the new format, checking and updating all the links and adding new ones in the process. The site is created in raw HTML/CSS, not in any kind of content management system, but it is [pretty simple to copyu and paste or just use another page as a template to overwrite the existing content.
Sections still to be done are:
Training
Solent, S. Coast & SW
NE & NW England & Wales
Scotland
Ireland
Abroad
Shorebased Training
Berthing
Marinas - South Coast
Marinas - South-West
Marinas - East Coast
Marinas - Wales and NW
Marinas - Scotland
Marinas - Ireland
Equipment
Anchoring
Autohelms & Windvanes
Boatbuilding
Chandlery
Clothing
Communications
Electrics & Electronics
Engines
First Aid
Liveaboard Luxuries
Osmosis
Paint & Antifouling
Props & Sterngear
Pumps & Plumbing
Safety Equipment
Sails & Reefing Systems
Spars & Rigging
Other Stuff
Books & Charts
Crewing
Heroes & Legends
Organisations & Associations
Remarkable Voyages
Scottish Restaurant Guide
Useful Stuff
Websites miscellaneous
There are various other sections such as articles, weather page etc, but I would need to do those myself.
So, if anyone fancies a wee project let me know which page/section you would like to have a go at and I'll send you the relevant HTML, instructions and background pages so you can see how it looks in your browser.
(the dull bit is the formatting and typing, but researching and tracking down businesses and websites in the various categories can be interesting)

Much as I'd like to help you, I'm afraid my knowledge of such computery things is somewhat less than the square root of sod-all!
I could manage a bit of proof reading, or checking links kind of stuff, if that would be of any help.

In principle I would be happy to do a chunk (no particular preference) if, as you say, all necessary crib materials are provided, but it depends how urgent it is. Things are a bit busy next week and then I'm on the piste for a fortnight... Maybe send one wee bit first and I'll see how I get on?

No rush, it's a project that I started over a year ago . . .DaveS wrote:In principle I would be happy to do a chunk (no particular preference) if, as you say, all necessary crib materials are provided, but it depends how urgent it is.
