Re: Happy New Year, 2014
Great finish to 2013, a blast on a nacra carbon fibre f20 catamaran with curved foils. 20+ knots of boat speed on a close reach then a great start to 2014: on the water at 10:30 in the f18, opti race at lunchtime (first time ever in one, they capsize if you stand on the transom..) breeze built up in the afternoon and finished up having a 1 hour blast back on the cat, full on asymmetric kite up, 2 on the trapeze before a beer on the beach watching the sun set. Life is tough out in the Far East!
Wishing you all good health, good fortune and great sailing in 2014!

Belated guid new year wishes. I'm afraid I wasn't really in a suitable state to go near a computer in the early hours of this morning...

And a Happy New Year to one and all. Captain Aquaplane is up early in the morning - making the journey to Loch Sween to check on Chiton's moorings - We don't want to start 2014 the same way 2013 ended with Carousel.

May you all learn celestial navigation as quickly as Mr Redford.

Re: Happy New Year, 2014
hmm... I would hate to say yes and have you be disappointed.....Let's say if you go to the cinema often, then yes, if you go rarely, then no, but each to his own. I did enjoy it, but it has a number of irksome sailing inaccuracies, but fewer than other sailing films I have seen. I did enjoy it. Mr Redford did very well, especially when considering he was around just after the start of the Spanish Civil war.
