Didn't we have a lovely time. A select gathering with at least one noted and possibly notable absence - I was so looking forward to a good debate about the relative merits of CO32 vs Bav31 but alas, Marisca was Awol.

My sincere apologies gentlemen. The offer of a wee sail out of Dunstaffnage came out the blue and despite the lure of your exalted company, the idea of my first sail since Sept, and since my back was operated on, was too strong. Lovely sunny day, F2/3 northerly dropping as the sun sank slowly in the south. Stopped at Castle Gylen for lunch and wondered at the geology. Got a tad parky after 4 o'clock as we motored back.
Stornoway CG has a lovely lilt, the kind of voice that makes the threat of a F8 sound benign and comforting. A mere -8C on the way home.
I trust a good time was had by all.

It's that time of year again! Any enthusiasm? And this year I intend not to let fleeting pleasures divert me from your company.

As a matter of general principal, yes. :santa:

Are we talking Edinburgh, Glasgow, or somewhere in between?

From the plebiscite still running - yes, I called you plebs, so sue me! - it looks like Ed'burg is winning.

So how does the Doric at 19.00 on Wednesday 11th December suit? I assume the trains will be running again by then.

I could manage that if we have a quorum. I see only four have voted for Embra and I presume you and I are two of those Paul.

I voted 20% of the Embra votes (as they stand), but can't make Wed.

The idea of losing 20% of Ken McC's rapt audience (hanging on his every word*) is totally unacceptable. So choose another day that does suit, Geoff.

Any good?

If Monday (i.e. tomorrow) I couldn't get there until 2100 and that assumes my plane arrives on time. Tues and Friday are OK, but Friday might be getting busy.

Following week Mon, Tue, Thu all OK.
