Misbegotten heliport is Esbjerg, it's on the west coast of Denmark...who was navigating through the Skaggerak?mNick wrote:.
My experiences of Denmark are limited . . . A Sunday flight from Copenhagen to some misbegotten heliport on the E. coast prior to spending a few days in a Stressless recliner watching movies on a Maersk jack-up, and a day and half a night drinking in some yachting harbour beginning with 'A' up near the top end prior to a chaotic three in the morning departure with an incapacitated skipper to brave a gale- stirred Skaggerak.
My suggestion - forgo the fasting for now and enjoy the pastries.

Me. Had to buy charts out of my own pocket.wully wrote:...who was navigating through the Skaggerak?m
Crappy 22 hour passage hard on the wind (F5 for most of it) with a sea left over from a gale with a baggy roller-reefed main, leach motoring like a mad thing, worst hangover in the world , the skipper refusing to get out of his bunk, cabin boy having difficulty either helming or making tea . . .
My test-sail of a Vega in fact. Varberg - Skagen - Lillesand - Kristiansand - Peterhead.
