Well

Post by claymore »

Denmark hasn't changed much. Still no people around, penty of wee black flies that pack a fair bite.
I prefer the midgies.

Ye have my sympathy. Hersel on a whim decided Liverpool was worth a visit. I feigned sleep but got a foot up my airse for my trouble. I hurriedly arranged an emergency supply of wheels and tyres off our new found best friends and off we went. Despite my best efforts at being a grumpy auld git, the place was pretty good; they haven't nicked any of Gormleys statues even, and all of my wheels remained attached.

So, my message is buck up and cheer up, it could be worse. Imagine having scousers for in laws?

Miss Denmark wus last week ....?

What a fascinating thread . . . You could be a big hit on Twitter.

Thank you for your response, I was beginning to think that all humans had been beamed up to somewhere else.
As a youth I climbed in N Wales andmy everlasting memories of sundays spent nursing a bad head and watching the rain sheeting down in Bethesda. There seemed to be a lot of places called Carmel.
Denmark I find similarly dispiriting.

It is still dry but it can't last.
Home on Thursday - funny how attractive Rotterdam seems.

.
My experiences of Denmark are limited . . . A Sunday flight from Copenhagen to some misbegotten heliport on the E. coast prior to spending a few days in a Stressless recliner watching movies on a Maersk jack-up, and a day and half a night drinking in some yachting harbour beginning with 'A' up near the top end prior to a chaotic three in the morning departure with an incapacitated skipper to brave a gale- stirred Skaggerak.

My suggestion - forgo the fasting for now and enjoy the pastries.

Evening, went for a bike ride. It rained at first till I was wet, then stopped. Perhaps I should have started later....
