Repeating my question.
Is there a Pontoon/s at Brodick to tie up to, or is it visitors moorings and dinghy ashore for beers?

I'm no expert but I can't think of any Pontoon but Iain would be your man for info.Clyde_Wanderer wrote:Repeating my question.

Re: Brodick?
I've not been there for 2 years or so, but don't remember anything other than the ferry terminal and a log loading wharf further east. Found Brodick to be rather squally, even though there's moorings.
We took the dinghy ashore, but were not all that inspired. Found Lamlash slightly more interesting, including the model yachts in the window of the closed chandlers.

Re: Brodick?
There is no pontoon at Brodick, vistors moorings (free) and ashore at concrete slip N of ferry terminal.
The monks at Holy Isle have just had a rather smart new pontoon installed but I would very much doubt there will be any alchohol about

Is overnight berthing allowed on the pontoon?Al Dickson wrote:There is no pontoon at Brodick, vistors moorings (free) and ashore at concrete slip N of ferry terminal.

Re: Brodick?
I think the answer may be "probably not" understanding is it's installed primarily for use by the inhabitants and the ferry which struggled to use the old landing in strong westerlies. Best idea is perhaps to email them and find out first hand - reception@holyisland.org
