I have an ageing friend

Post by claymore »

Who has been experiencing difficulties with his furler.
Being a man with a keen eye for retaining expenditure at minimum levels, he has purloined a used device complete with forestay.
Said forestay is a tad long and my ageing para -SORRY - friend is contemplating tying a knot in it as a simple means of reducing the length.
Convinced this is a winning strategy, his ears appear closed to my suggestion that professional advice might be advisable in this instance.
Would the panel concur?

If it was me I'd cut it to length and fit a sta-loc. They're not cheap, but if you only need one...

Could this "friend" no jist add a wee bittie tae the mast? A wee bit o' varnished timmer wud look fine atap his fine shup, wad it no?

Nae need for cuttin' or tyin' knots in his forestay!

Just a thought :D

Could well be. It just appeared to be bluemoment that had its twickers in a nist, everything else was ok.

Seems fine now though.
