Dave came up on Thursday and fitted a wee supression kit to my tricolour light. This is in response to a problem first encountered in Spring 2007 in the Canaries when I originally fitted an Ultraleds LED and discovered it caused horrendous VHF interference.

I have now ordered a 3.4W LED from Boatlamps which says it is designed to minimise EMI, unlike other similar looking lamps sold for non marine use. We utilise specially designed pcb layouts which avoid tracks acting as antenna that radiate EMI (electromagnetic interference)

Confidence is high. Whisky is low.
