Currently my favourite programme
Mostly because of the amazing similarity between Howard and the proprietor of the good ship Avilion

I'd never seen this, and have now spent half an hour playing with Channel 4's catch up thingie trying to see just how much my leg is being pulled. I get a load of adverts then about 4 minutes of the show before it freezes up. However, from such glimpses as I could manage, I think I know which character you mean.

Do I look like that?

Well
You have glasses, are scots, a good head of hair, great smile, are highly intelligent - do I need to go on?
I also think he is the star character in the series.
