I can't remember my model no. but it's the basic model of 3 or 4 years ago and also boasts n1 & n2 but this is just a screen limitation.
I never bothered with the 12v cable because of my limited ability to charge my main battery, the very long life of the rechargeable battery and the provision of the pack which takes 6 (?) AA batteries and which clips straight in if required although I've never needed it yet.
I can't remember all my reasons for spending the extra £30 - floating was one, as was 6 watt, and the light, the lesser battery was a minus. It certainly wasn't the thermometer! I think that you are supposed to dunk it and then decide if the water is warm enough to swim! It might come in handy for those with the luxury of an on board bath - Claymore owners and the such like!
The Allgadgets lead at £8.50 is interesting, but it's another £2.95 delivery so maybe a look through Maplin is in order.

Well, if the clock in your camera was set right it would have been 2005:02:23 at 00:01:22, but it certainly doesn't look like 'round midnight in February....

Ah, you spotted that...
Yes, the battery went flat and after replacing it I forgot to reset the clock.
It's some time earlier this year, though, not 2010. The log's on board, but checking dates on Three Point Fix I was in Puildobhrain overnight on 21-22 April, 3-4 June and 4-5 June.

Well we were in Puilladobhrain twice this year, on our way north and again on our way south. The log is at the boat, but I think we were in on Sunday 3rd June. You must have been up in the north-east corner Dave.
Ah yes, just looked at your profile and I remember seeing Avillion. Forgot it was you that had her now or we would have made contact.
Nah, probably by rowing over. But I remember that the Avon was not inflated and was in the stern cabin and that is why we did not venture ashore that time.

Precisely my excuse for lack of sociability. My dinghy was deflated too. (I feel that this is tenuously groping towards a metaphor... )
