I was surprised to find that some members of this forum are richer than I first imagined

I know Shard as a bon viveur, raconteur, whisky afficionado, jazz fanatic and all round good egg but to find he has a skyscraper in Central London as well - words fail me.

Yeah, but I think it is broken isn't it? They've got the builders in & they've just had to have the Environmental Health in too, to evict a previous tenant, Mr Reynard.

Not as salubrious as you might think. :tiphat:

Was staying in an hotel just at the base of Shard in November, and thought of several comments, but didn't have the necessary camera - beaten to the post I suppose.

November? That's 4 months ago, no wonder you were beaten off the line. Didn't you hear the gun?

Yes, it's doing rather well. The concrete and steel core is complete and much of the lower outer cladding is now in place. The 0.6% drop in Q4 is a bit of worry, but we are still quietly confident we can achieve full, or almost full, occupancy with decent rentals. There is still some slight water ingress in one of the port side lockers.

Once the crack in the top & all the mis-aligned windows have been fixed it could be quite nice.
