The entrance is approx. 3.5M NW by N from the most northerly point of Lismore (not to be used for navigation) but that's surely not what you're asking, is it?

That's exactly what I was asking - I'd never heard of it. I can recommend The Boathouse Restaurant there (although I have never arrived by boat).

I think they were closed when I was last there - it was raining which might have had a bearing on it.

I've stopped there for lunch a few times, mostly anchoring in the SW corner, near a small stone house.
There are really unpredictable winds in that small loch, seem to roll off the hilltops and hit from any angle.
In lower windspeeds though it is a pleasant place. I don't think I'd stay a night there.
