Fantastic film - oddly I thought that some of the boats looked much later than 1939.

Fantastic film, especially for steamer buffs. The Macbraynes steamer at the beginning is the Lochiel, the Islay boat, in her first season when she was based for a while out of Oban, and the buff funnelled steamer is the Loch Aline, built in 1904 as the island steamer Plover, and converted into Macbraynes' directors yacht in 1934.
