XC Weather giving ENE for Saturday which would certainly be agreeable. The Eberspacher is thriving and the aft fornicatorium is like a sauna.
Water tanks full, diesel tanks also. New patio is installed and new spray dodgers surrounding the back garden make it rather pleasant.
Hey ho....did I mention retirement? Ah, well now, seems I am within a month or two of going.

Hailstones!

It's the 11th of April, and we've just had a shower of big hailstones.

Mine is definitely 2 years warranty. My panic over the date has subsided - 5/4/12 is of course sceptic for 4th of May as my Visa bill and the nice people at TPS Chandlery have confirmed.
Stand by for blizzards, ice floes and gales over the next few days. Marisca heads south again on Thursday.

Too late for me to extent to the 3yr free warranty as it had to be done within 90 days of purchase, even though its not been used yet.

We are sat in Holy Loch marina with the heater going having made our way up past Kip in glorious sunshine and viewing the hills infront (Ben Lomond etal?) with a white topping. Not much wind to work with today but it got up after we arrived.

The timber boat passed us as we passed the Gantocks, I did remember a comment about the muck produced by the loading opperations and thought "that's good then, no boats in", but we are well away from all that stuff. There was a lorry unloading earlier but no crap on us.

I didn't take note of the boat name, it had a black hull with white superstructure, and logs on deck. We were busy trying to find a cardinal mark that didn't seem to be there at the time so once we had missed it I didn't have much time for boat spotting.

The boat in Ardrishaig on Sunday was green so I doubt that was the Red Barroness either.

I think that I will need to start reading these new fangled ( to me ) Notices to Mariners. Last weekend I thought that my GPS or my eyes had gone faulty when I couldn't see the Skelmorlie Channel “G” and "H" Buoys.

.....and some blimey, probably the same one that moved the red Bono buoy off the rock a couple of years ago, has now swapped it for an east cardinal.

The NTM's explains why Buoy #47 in the West Kyle looked to be further over to the East than I remembered too.

Perhaps I should look out for NTM's also, still if it's only the buoys that move it's not so bad, it's when the rocks start moving I get worried.

I was most disturbed to find that sometime in the ten years I was away from the Clyde the annoying people removed Ardlamont Shelf buoy.
