So the Claymore called Claymore currently (Good Friday) berthed here in Port Bannatyne is an imposter!

Tarbert was grand tonight, if you had been sleeping all afternoon. Live music in the Corner Bar with acouple of sailey local mates was good. Good sitting in the cockpit with a clear sky too, wonderful moon.

Good sailing!

We should have been able to meet up with you somewhere but I've been laid up up all week with a dodgy leg....

I have seen at least two Claymores called Claymore in the Clyde area Ash. So there are at least three people suffering from a lack of imagination when it comes to boat naming!

Mrs Admiral's Wallas is running just fine, with a healthy glow from sailing up the Loch Fyne in good company.

We are thinking about changing Seminole's, Carousel's and Chiron's names to Claymore, to avoid any more confusion.

I presume all Claymores can use the yellow hippo named Claymore.

The ST2000+ gave up in the Moray Firth, possibly 'cos it was working fine until I put it onto stand-by and hand steered when the waves got a bit big and the squalls came in with snow attached. Letting it cool down in a dampish atmosphere at sub-zero temperatures may not have been a good idea. Anyhoo when I got home today I found it is exactly 2 years since I bought the thing so I dashed off an email to Raymarine to ask them where they wanted it sent for a warranty claim. Watch this space for results!
Unless I am mistaking does the ST 2000 not have a 3year warranty?
Infact I have just pulled out the documents for it and there is a leaflet in there saying "Upgrade 2 years to 3 for free!
I bought mine a few months ago and havent done that yet, wonder will it be too late now, even though it has been in its box since I bought it.
Will soon find out.

Mine is definitely 2 years warranty. My panic over the date has subsided - 5/4/12 is of course sceptic for 4th of May as my Visa bill and the nice people at TPS Chandlery have confirmed.
Stand by for blizzards, ice floes and gales over the next few days. Marisca heads south again on Thursday.

Hailstones!

It's the 11th of April, and we've just had a shower of big hailstones.
