First sail of the season
OK we have been afloat all winter so no big deal but we have just managed to put nearly everything that was taken apart/broken etc. back together and go for a brief but invigorating whiz down the Forth and back to Queensferry. Fairly brisk conditions and we ended up on the windward leg with a single reef in the main, staysail, and the Yankee rolled away, which worked well. Slight loss of pointing ability but plenty of speed on the wind. All most satisfactory really.

The sad news is, and for a boat that needs rescuing regularly it is sad, your radio doesn't work. I called you on Ch16 from the good ship Marisca but nought. George doesn't think you are very good at parking, by the way.

Well that might have been because no one was down below listening to the thing? It was working fine earlier.marisca wrote:The sad news is, and for a boat that needs rescuing regularly it is sad, your radio doesn't work. I called you on Ch16 from the good ship Marisca but nought.
