I think that topping lift is a bit slack . . .

Excellent pic Jim, pls send me a large one to the usual e-mail. It's a bit tight top and bottom for the widescreen resolutions (could do with more sky on top and more water underneath) but I think we can live with that.

Wow that looks fantastic! Any idea if there are any for sale and how much I would have to pay?

Coincidentally that very one is for sale at this exact moment, hat is not part of the inventory though ;-)

Having had the pleasure of a couple of hundred miles aboard I can confirm that this magnificent vessel is worth every penny of the very realistic asking price. The hat would sweeten the deal though.

If I mention how careless the present owner is - the topping lift wrapped round the back stay, something indescribable dangling over the side at the port quarter are evidence of this - can we have this thread pulled?

The indescribable can neatly be described as a sheet .. unless, of course , you are referring to the trimmer ;-)

To avoid any confusion - I was attempting to take the piss. It's an AWB with baggy reefs like many others and doesn't even have a sail number to differentiate it from all the rest. I am sure it is loved dearly by its owner, as probably is that hat, but none of them can be called pretty - in my opinion of course, yours may differ.

Glad you cleared that up. I think everyone else just thought you were giving Jim an easy way to mention (on this thread) that his boat was for sale.
