Julian has left the building.
.
The member who posted as Julian has sent me a request to be removed from this forum couched in quite the most repulsive, hate-filled and threatening PM I have ever received from anyone, including even YBW's severely deranged Steve101.
As per his request he is no longer a member of this forum.
The PM is sufficiently alarming for me to have decided to keep it on file. Meanwhile, if anyone else feels that they cannot bear to be part of this forum just send me a PM and I will ensure that you are removed immediately.

Nick
Unless you have been winding the eejit up on TOP or elsewhere (perhaps he's an english supremesist?) I cannot imagine what on these fora, other than a sad lack of interesting informative posts
, could have led to his vitriol. Put it behind you and think instead on the good things in life, of which, thankfully, there are many.

Makes no sense. What was his issue?Nick wrote:.

Well, if you insist in trying to teach rabid dogs to sit and roll over, you should expect the occasional bite. I occasionally lurk in the dark recesses of the lounge but generally manage to delete my responses to the ravings prior to posting. Safest thing is to stay out.

Re: Julian has left the building.
A shame, because I think that the guy, at heart, has been, consistently over the years, a pretty decent individual and someone who has been helpful and has willingly passed on his views and experience. However, for reasons that I can only guess at (and nothing really to do with Nick IMHO), he went right over the top and, in my view, became quite irrational in relation to some of Nick's posts in the Lounge.
Anyway, it's his choice. I for one regret that an Internet discussion can generate such and emotional response and I'm sorry that Nick's been on the receiving end. It happens.

But where's the fun in that? Slow days at work need livened up somehow.
Re: Julian has left the building.
Certainly I've never found him to post anything unreasonable on BM. No idea who he is on YBW, so no idea of his persona there.Shard wrote:A shame, because I think that the guy, at heart, has been, consistently over the years, a pretty decent individual and someone who has been helpful and has willingly passed on his views and experience. I’ve been the same, pop in now and again and have a wee look at some of the post about Independence, Scotland etc. Been tempted to get involved, but always backed off.marisca wrote:Well, if you insist in trying to teach rabid dogs to sit and roll over, you should expect the occasional bite. I get to angry at some of the posts and comments, I don’t do forum debates very well so better to stay away, some very rude, ignorant & arrogant people, I wouldn’t mix with them in life so no point in getting involved on the forums.
