Like many others on this forum, I find myself bound by superstition and family tradition. On Twefth Night all vestiges of Yule are carefully packed away, the cards stowed in 2 boxes - one for the ones that we forgot to send and one for next years list.
The tree carefully stripped of its Christmas finery is ceremoniously taken out to its spot in the Garden, the baubles and tinsel delicately wrapped and stowed. The lights stuffed in the box because it really doesn't matter if you are careful with the blasted things or not - they never work first time.
All this done as stated through tradition and the sure knowledge that bad luck will befall if it is all still in situ an hour over its allotted timespan.
I wonder if any such bad luck might befall a webmaster who, with little regard for superstition leaves these fekking snowflakes dribbling down my screen for another day.....

Re: Twelfth Night
How do you mean another day? It's a week and counting.
In our house 12th night was on the 5th Jan not the 12th, have we got it wrong?
Anyway, stop complaining or the bleeding things will never dissapear. It's not a democracy you know, Captain W runs things his way.

Nope, you are spot on, and I admonished ze Webmeister last week only to find him his usually obstructive & unhelpful self. I wish you luck.aquaplane wrote:How do you mean another day? It's a week and counting.

In the meantime, I am happy to help the aged Claysie to wind his calendar again as it does seem to be a week slow.

West Lothian Council still haven't taken down the Christmas lights from lamp posts in our village!
And there's more snow on this site than anywhere I've been!
