Posting a Pulpit

Post by ubergeekian »

I've just bought a secondhand Hunter 19 pulpit for my 490. It's in Winchester, so I have to get it up to Scotland. Parcel2go quotes are daft (pallet load) because at 80cm x 80cm x 50cm and 3kg, volumetric pricing kicks in. Has anyone any bright ideas about a carrier who might charge more reasonably? They must exist, as there are a couple of pulpits for sale on eBay with £15 delivery charges.

The LandyZone forum has a courier service:

You could post your needs on a friendly forum and see if anyone is making a similar journey and is willing to use a bit of free space to help you out. :D
