'Ouzo' Investigation

Post by ash »

I got a letter the other week from Hampshire Constabulary asking a number of questions, eg was I in Bembridge during 19/21 August 2006? had I spoken to the Ouzo crew? etc.

It would appear that the Bembridge harbourmaster has provided a list of the names of all the visiting boats that weekend, and the police are contacting the owners of all boats of that names. I assume that they got the owners info through Ships Radio Licence and/or SSR.

It would seem a mammoth task.

No' half. I hope there wasn't a Spray or a Windsong in.

Wonder what they hope to learn?

I don't know. I assume that they are working on the premise that it might be more than a tragic accident, and that charges may be brought.
