End of an Era

Post by Aja »

George Hulley has finally decided that enough is enough. He will be sorely missed. Not by everyone mind, but those who knew him as a boat-builder and font of all things nautical will know that it really is the end of an era. What he didn't know wasn't worth knowing.

When I asked him what he was going to do in retirement he went quite coy.... there could be something in the pipeline yet.

Regards
Donald

I'm not sure where I'm going to get my coffee and Fox's selection on a wet Saturday.....

If you could download George's knowledge in to a text book on boat building and maintenance, it would be the only reference book that you would need. His memoirs and stories of the clyde, its boats and their owners would also also (the bits that could actually be published!) be fascinating.
I hope his health holds up and wish him well, as you said, the end of an era.
