I had read in the almanac and in the Irish sailing directions that Calor butane is not available in 4.5kg bottles in Eire. The thread on their butane bottles is also different from the UK standard. Camping Gaz is available in its usual forms. Asking at Crosshaven about refilling an empty, I was directed to Powers Hardware shop.
The nice lady in the shop was interested that I didn't expect to be able to exchange an empty for a full bottle; she had 2 in stock. A bit pricey at 23 Euro but that's like most things Irish we have found.
Incidentally, my keyboard has a Euro symbol next to 4 but I can't make it appear. Anyone know the secret?

Spot on! I thought I tried all possible combinations of shift, alt and ctrl but obviously not.
Thanks,

Thanks for that. Not obvious is it? I'll not remember that for the next bluemoon when I need it.
