Time

Post by claymore »

38 years ago today - in the long hot summer of '73, my Daughter was born

10 years ago on Saturday I signed up to the YBW forums

Parahandy and I were only in our 50's then and wee Jamesie but a tremble in his faithers kneecaps.

Where does the time go?
Regards
Claymore

Here's a theory.

When you were young and in your 20s 10 years seemed like a long time as it was half of your life. Now in your 60s 10 years is only a 6th of your life that's why it goes so quick.
At least you can still remember 10 years ago :) :)

My daughter was 38 on the 9th June. She has 8 year old twins now. '73 must have been a good year.

First half of '73 I was sailing on this -

Just a young whipper-snapper in my 20's then. She was the oldest, and also the happiest, ship I ever sailed on. I was on her for over a year.

Happy days (or was that daze - beer at 2/- a can, gin £1 a bottle, and fags 10 bob for 200 :D :D )

It's a wonder I'm still around!
