Orses for courses init?
Folk recon they are slow and won't go to windward, my Centaur does 6+ Kts into the wind if I open her up, it's better @ 5 Kts tho, and that's a 21' waterline. Stormy introduced me to Radio 2, I thought Radio 4 was the only one. There is a local one called Lakeland Radio too, they have adverts on that though, very down market.

6kts and 21' water line length = lots of power to go beyond the hull speed of 1.14 x √(waterline length in feet) = 5.2kts. no much wonder it is so much easier at 5kts. Can you see past the smoke screen that you generate at 6kts?aquaplane wrote:Orses for courses init?

Hats off the the brave man who admits to liking bavarias. Horses for courses. Every boat is somebody's pride and joy.

AFAIC the only problem is everyone else seems well aware of how good they are and they're priced accordingly.
