Today I fell in Love Again.....

Post by Pete Cooper »

.....with my boat!!!!!
I went to the marina today with the intention of tidying up my wee boat - the saloon is full of tools and spare bits that I have been working with.
Instead I went for a wee motor round the bay - well across to the green channel marker and back - probably about an hours cruise in total. I realised that although my wee boat is scruffy, and could do with some money throwing at her she is truly a wonderful wee boat. The accomodation is snug but very well designed, she moves through the water beautifully, and I know from experience that she will handle any weather or seas.
What a wonderful boat she is - maybe I'll do the tidying tomorrow :D

Are you recovering from a bad case of twofootitis? I had a mild dose last season but was soon cured by contemplating the state of my wallet.

Have you considered renewing your vows?

I am recently re-enamoured of my old Yamaha motorbike. I have spent all day dismantling the front end to get 10 years of shed crud off it.
I am hoping this won't cost me too much - I have just binned the battery, so I am 20 quid down already.

Full Circle is coming out next week, but nothing major to do really.

Best of luck Pete, post a list of bits you need, and I will have a rummage round. There is a runour that I may be looking for a slot on the April trip......

FC - you are of course welcome on Amaranthe any time you chose. I will have a look at dates for the first Scuttlebutt Clyde cruise of the new decade soon and make some suggestions. I think that you will have Capricious as a neighbour by then.
Happy new year, and all the best,
Pete

You wouldn't happen to have a new suit of sails for a Hurley 22 up in the loft, would you?

Send me the IJPE measurements and I will see what my circle of trusties can do for you.
