.
Has he tried contacting Claire and Robert of Western Horizon? They are usually very helpful.
I don't think I have ever seen the boat myself.

Well I've seen her on the water or at anchor or on a mooring or in a marina but I don't suppose that helps very much.

Thanks Bob, but the potential purchasers have sailed the V32, which is why they want one. Nothing else will do apparently.So_Sage_of_Lorne wrote:and, I have had two Vancouvers, one of which was white with a red stripe so know a bit about the breed if that helps.

So just looking for info on this one. As it appears to be the only one on sale at the moment.

There is a 34C for sale in Troon and a 34P in Largs http://www.euroyachts.com/boatsforsale.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;, also a 32 "Tombie of Maritius" for sale although, she is currently in Greece and is unusual in that she has a "Sonic drive". The 34 is a stretched 32 with some changes to the rudder & skeg which improve the balance and maneuverability without compromising the sailing characteristics.

Don't most of the 34s have wheel steering? A preference for a tiller is one thing that I believe leads some to prefer the 32. I wouldn't say no to either if the forum is wondering what to get me for Christmas.So_Sage_of_Lorne wrote:The 34 is a stretched 32 with some changes to the rudder & skeg which improve the balance and maneuverability without compromising the sailing characteristics.

Funnily enough Nick, the 34 in Troon is unusual in that it has tiller steering and no Teak in the cockpit. Following the development of the 34P, the later 34C's also had the balast further forward, this is said to improve sailing performance

Re: Anyone near Oban know about the Vancouver 32 for sale?
Usually a Vancouver 34 with tiller would be one built by Northshore for the Armed Services "sailing associations", this may be the case for the boat currently advertised.
