If you wanted to buy the book “From the Orenoco to the Amazon on a ten meters sail boat" don’t do this !

Now, this book is online, free download on the author’s website.

http://www.jeanfrancoisdine.eu/index_en.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

I wish you very happy days for the end of the year.

Enjoy reading !

Perhaps someone could kindly take the time to do that for the OP, and then if it is OK with him I wouldn't mind hosting a copy in the Bookshelf section on BM.

Sorry, I don't succeed putting the book on the same time in the web page, beecause it is a big volume. It takes a lot of time for upload it.

If you have the document you tried to upload you could mail it to Nick? Or me and I'll forward it.

Failing that I will take Nick's hint and, with you permission, splice it together.

Once again, thanks for making this available.

I would be happy to do so, but I don't think I can unless someone tells me otherwise - I think that to create a pdf you need a full version of Acrobat rather than just a reader. However, I have downloaded the 12 parts and I thought the following table might help someone who is properly equipped, since the order of the file names is not immediately obvious.

Download Part No, file name, chapter(s), pages
1, ori1_en, introduction, I-II, 13-27
2, amazon3, III, 29-46
3, amazon4, IV, 47-60
4, amazon5, V, 61-77
5, orinoco1, VI-VII, 79-98
6, rionegro1, VIII-X, 99-135
7, rionegro2, X1-XIII, 137-170
8, rionegro3, XIV-XV, 171-198
9, rionegro4, XVI-XVIII, 199-237
10, rionegro5, XIX-XXI, 239-271
11, rionegro6, XXII-XXIV, 273-300
12, rionegro7, Technical Guide, 301 *

* This would seem to be incomplete since, tantalisingly, a boat layout diagram appears faintly. I suspect this should be on p302. How many (if any) more pages are missing is impossible to say.

http://www.anypdftools.com/pdf-merger.html - free trial availableor maybe PDFmerge

Don't have any personal experience of either of these and am currently too busy to play around, but maybe someone else could.

Jean-Francois,
Thank you for a lovely & generous gesture. I have had a quick look at your site & it looks an amazing Amazonian trip. I love the idea of thanking the readers who helped fund your new boat & life by offering the book as a download.

I hope it helps more people to hear about you & your adventures & helps to sell future books to keep you sailing. Thanks again & best wishes for cruising in 2011 & beyond.

Thank you,

I am at present on my boat, stop to Démopolis. We come down towards Mobile. Then we shall go to Panama to pass in the Pacific.

We have no WiFi every day.

I downloaded the book with WiFi of a small marina. It is for it that I was obliged to put the book in some left...

My English is very bad...

Goodbye

I thoroughly enjoyed this too but couldn't help noticing that page 42 (from part2) is also missing.
